In honor or American Craft Week, we thought we would pick a few selections to highlight this week. First up, an Indian Pale Ale from Avery Brewing Company in Boulder, Colorado.
Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish.
Confession Girl Tasting Notes:
This Indian Pale Ale pours out with a big frothy head and a nice caramel color. Refreshing notes of citrus with lingering maltiness. Hoppy and bitter, but fades quickly and mostly the malt taste lingers on your tongue. I wouldn’t call this a big IPA but a good one to share with friends. The citrus notes are tangy and feel it in the back of your throat.
Overall a good IPA. Starts with a good hoppy punch and fades with a traditional American malty taste.
Lemon zest ravioli’s with pesto sauce! Zesty and creamy to cut the malt and hops.
