Wordsmith: Word of the Day Bumfuzzle

I read quite a bit, yet I find that my vocabulary doesn’t have much flare. The other day, I heard a word that I didn’t know existed. My friend replied, “But you read so much,” this made me laugh but got me thinking that I should have a more selected vocabulary.

From elementary to high school our English classes always included spelling bee’s and friday word quizzes. But, somehow as an adult this is not something we practice any more.

Since, I am striving to be an interesting blogger I should have a better vocabulary in my arsenal. So, here’s to my new weekly post!

Word:
Bumfuzzle

My guess:
A word Ross Geller would use on Friends to describe a game!

Pronunciation:
(bum-FUZ-uhl)

Meaning:
verb: To confuse
